Future Plans to improve vendor adoption and organization without Government control

1. Vendor Registration Portal

  • Form with:

    • Name / Business Name

    • Email / Phone

    • Type of product (art, crafts, food, etc.)

    • Preferred dates and time blocks

    • Commitment to code of conduct & giveback plan

  • Optional payment field (for $10 beautification fee)


2. Interactive Vendor Map Layout

  • Map of available vendor spots by location (Main Street, near YMCA, etc.)

  • When vendors register, the spot turns “reserved”

  • Mobile-friendly layout to view who’s where on a given day

(Can start with a simple image-based map or Google Sheets version if needed, then upgrade to interactive.)


3. Vendor Directory / Offerings Gallery

  • Public list of registered vendors with:

    • Business name

    • Type of work (with photo)

    • Link to Instagram, Etsy, etc.

    • Which dates they’re setting up

  • Gives vendors exposure and shows variety to city/businesses


4. Community Beautification Fund Tracker

  • Running tally:

    • Money raised

    • Projects completed (flowers, murals, cleanups)

    • Next goals (lights, benches, banners, etc.)

  • Makes your mission transparent and unshakable


5. Optional: Volunteer/Business Sponsorship Section

  • Businesses can sponsor a spot, a vendor, or a flower bed

  • Residents can sign up to help paint, clean, etc.

  • Each gets a “Thank You” on the site and maybe a window sticker

🔹 2. Challenge to Businesses

  • Ask every local business to:

    • Match the $10 vendor contribution weekly

    • OR sponsor a project (bench, planter, lights, mural restoration)

    • OR donate materials (paint, mulch, lighting, trash bins)

🔹 3. Public Accountability Wall

On the website:

  • ✅ “These Vendors Give Back” – names, photos, links

  • ✅ “These Businesses Support the Community” – logos, donations, projects

  • ❌ “These Businesses Have Not Contributed Yet” 

📋 Key Components to Propose:

Registered Vendor Spots

  • Numbered, rotating spots (limit congestion)

  • Easy for vendors to sign up in advance

  • Priority to locals or returning artists

🕒 Set Vendor Times

  • Thursdays 4–9 PM

  • Sundays 11–6 PM

  • First Friday Art Nights 6–10 PM
    (or whatever works best with your rhythm and council expectations)

💰 Nominal Fee with a Purpose

  • ~$10 per session

  • Goes directly to:

    • Trash bags, cleanup, flowers, mural touch-ups, lighting, signage

    • Optional community projects (e.g., repainting benches, trash patrol)

  • Each vendor gives 1 hour/month toward a NoDa beautification effort (or funds it)

  • Public scoreboard: “These vendors give back. Do you?”
